**In short**

- Fi wound down banking services on its app in March 2026. Existing Federal Bank accounts stay open and are used through Federal Bank's FedMobile app.
- Jupiter still offers a savings account with Federal Bank, cards, UPI, loans and investments through partners, with a money tracker built in.
- Neobank insights mostly see the money that flows through that one account. Kosh reads statements from any Indian bank and card, so it sees everything you upload.
- Kosh doesn't hold deposits or make payments. It plans: spending, leaks, tax under both regimes and goals.
- Keep your bank in a bank. Use Kosh for the view across all of them.

## What happened to Fi

Fi launched in 2021 as a banking app built with Federal Bank. In March 2026, [TechCrunch reported](https://techcrunch.com/2026/03/11/india-neobank-fi-winds-down-banking-services-on-its-platform) that Fi was discontinuing banking services on its app. Customers' Federal Bank savings accounts stay active and are now accessed through Federal Bank's FedMobile app. Both companies described it as a business realignment and said funds remain safe and accessible.

[Fi's website](https://fi.money/) now says new savings accounts can't be opened through the Fi app and asks existing customers to log in to FedMobile. Fi-Points stopped accruing on 20 March 2026 and redemption closed on 31 March 2026. According to TechCrunch, the company is refocusing on technology and AI systems for businesses.

**If you were a Fi user**

If you used Fi for spend insights, your account itself hasn't gone anywhere. Download your Federal Bank statements from FedMobile or net banking. Those statements are exactly what Kosh reads.

## What Jupiter offers now

[Jupiter's website](https://jupiter.money/) says plainly that Jupiter is not a bank. It offers a savings account hosted by Federal Bank, credit cards issued by CSB Bank or Federal Bank, UPI as an NPCI-registered third-party app, mutual funds, digital gold, FDs and RDs, insurance, and personal loans and loans against mutual funds through NBFC partners. It also has automatic spend categorisation, a money tracker and a wellness score. Its site lists charges such as a one-time debit card fee, annual maintenance and a low-balance charge on some account tiers.

## What neobank insights can and can't see

Insights inside a banking app are convenient because they're automatic. But they mostly cover the money that flows through that app's account and cards. If your salary lands in one bank, rent goes from another and you spend on two credit cards, any single app sees part of the picture.

## What Kosh does differently

- **Any bank, any card.** Upload PDF, CSV or photo statements from any Indian bank or card, plus your CAMS or NSDL CAS. Overlapping statements merge.
- **No logins.** Kosh never asks for bank logins, OTPs or card numbers. Locked PDFs are opened in your browser, so the password never leaves your device.
- **Beyond insights.** Tax under both regimes from your real numbers, goal plans with SIP amounts, reminders before due dates and renewals, and one clear thing to fix first.
- **Nothing to move.** Kosh doesn't hold your money or make payments, so there's no account to migrate if a product changes.

## If an app you rely on changes

Fi's wind-down is a useful reminder that apps change, even when your money is safe with the bank behind them. A few habits keep your financial picture yours:

- **Download statements regularly.** Your bank's statements are the record that outlasts any app. Save a PDF each month.
- **Know who holds your money.** With a neobank, the account sits with a partner bank. Note which one, and how to reach it directly.
- **Keep insights portable.** If your budget lives inside one app, it disappears with that app. Tools that work from statements can be rebuilt from the files you already have.

## Who should use which

If you want a banking app with built-in cards and rewards, a neobank such as Jupiter is designed for that. If you want one picture across every account you have, plus tax and planning, Kosh is designed for that. They work together: bank wherever suits you, then upload your statements to Kosh each month.
